In professional terms an enrolled nurse is an individual that "has satisfactorily completed an accredited period of training that enables them to meet the requirements of the nursing regulatory authority of their state, to practice competently and safely within the boundaries of their education". "Enrolled Nurses are the second tier nurse of a qualified framework regulated by acts of parliament". There are many benefits open to the individual who chooses enrolled nursing as a career, some of these include but are not limited to:

Enrolled Nurses undertake training from 12 months to
2 years in length receiving a certificate or diploma depending on the state.
