From Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (Registered Nurse Division 2).


On the 1 July 2010 the Nursing and Midwifery Council of New South Wales was established to manage notifications related to the performance, impairment and conduct of Nurses and Midwives. Some of these matters may be referred to Performance Review Panels, Impaired Nurse Panels, Professional standards Committees (PSCs) or the Nurses and Midwives Tribunal established under the Health Practitioner Regulation Act 2009 (NSW).

Endorsed enrolled nurses who are interested in assisting the council through participation in Impairment Panels, PSCs, or Tribunals are requested to submit a Curriculum Vitae, the contact details of of two referees and an expression of interest which demonstrates how the desirable and essential criteria have been met.

Essential criteria.

  • Endorsed Enrolled Nurse without conditions imposed on practise
  • At least five years recent nursing experience and an enrolled nurse
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Knowledge of the Code of Professional Conduct and the Code of Ethics for Nurses, The National Competency Standards for an Enrolled Nurse and Professional Boundaries (all codes available from this link of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board) please press back on your browser to return to this site.
  • Evidence of significant professional involvement

Desirable criteria.

  • Experience in Mental Health is advantageous
