The Enrolled Nurse Professional Association are the peak consultative body for enrolled nursing in NSW.

Conference this year will focus on two themes being "Full steam ahead" centring around the changes now commissioned in EN training nationally to bring the states and territories into a more consistent framework in preparation of the single Australian Regulatory Authority that will replace individual Boards. These sessions will include speakers from educational institutions with information on the Diploma in Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) and the Advanced Diploma (Enrolled Nurse) as well as post graduate specialty education in peri operative and mental health nursing.

The "patient professional" is a session that will enlarge on the dynamics of the viability of the enrolled nurse in many varied and complex situations involving this person as the first instance of patient communication and trust as an advocate and carer. It also entails the working relationship shared as a valued member of the healthcare team with their personal rapport developed in acute and chronic settings.

Objectives of conference this year are to share experiences with those attending in order to enlarge on information in various settings and allow an insight into how ENs do better at what they do.

In order to allow a reasonable information input, conference presentations will be limited to 25 speakers and have an additional allocated space for 10 poster displays.
